I think it is true that Wormtongue convinced Trump to go to war with Iran. Wormtongue's war cry was always "Iran must not ever have a nuclear bomb". Trump agreed and has repeated it frequently even as he has learned the folly of it. Dwindling ammunition and Maga support has informed him otherwise. I think Wormtongue will not find much joy this trip.
The Iran war has cost us lives and treasure. It has been especially brutal for ordinary Iranians. Our allies have suffered bombings of their infrastructure. Nothing screams national security like extreme shortages of munitions, and advertising our weaknesses to all would-be enemies.
But there is one benefit to the worst-ever commander in chief: the media has completely forgotten about the non-release of the Epstein files.
Epstein not as front & centre, true, but I still see substack writers discuss to some degree, and Dems will never give up on that one - esp when they regain *some power.
