As I read this, I can't stop laughing. Not because of the article itself, but I'd just finished reading about Canada banning Texas "livestock" today because screwworm was discovered in a calf. The coincidence killed me. Gotta take the laughs life offers when you find them.
But seriously good article. All democracies have to be aware and keep watch, and keep working. There's no resting on your laurels unless you want to end up with serious problems that could have been handled much more easily in their nascent stage while herd immunity still seemed to be a protection.
