Well, the pool is a metaphor. So while it is funny, ironic, it is also iconic, and reflects, though not as a pool, but rather this administration, which rules America and, in some senses, the whole world. Sadly, it is also a reflection on us, a mirror held up to our noses, an impish algae which if personified says, "Now there, look what you people have done."

Glad to see algae outsmarting a meathead.

Not only "outsmarting a meathead," Stella, but highlighting both his idiocy and corruption.

Criminal Donald always has to make a point of showing off his contempt for all the government's agencies which should be involved in various decisions a president may make. He's bigger than them all. Wiser. Smarter. Always.

But in fact everything the fatuous fatso does turns into something like algae.

So I'm glad, too, Michael in this on the reflecting pool also reflects on criminal Donald's insane choices he made all by himself for idiot war with Iran. It's all of a piece -- all the mistakes and always, too, all with extra dollops of incompetence from and corruption for the fools he brings with him.

Just as long as this wacky (but never woke) clown-show of an administration has its priorities straight, that is really all that matters. 👏

Thank you for a great essay! Once again, ETTD: Everything Trump Touches Dies, predictable in every case, whether it be a war againsy Iran or an innocent body of water..

Why?

He is a self-proclaimed "stable genius" who ignores the opinions and warnings of experts who have knowledge, facts and science backing up their opinions and advice.

He does not follow the rules or legal framework that prevent misuse of public funds and property.

He surrounds himself with "yes men", sycophants and flunkies whose primary function is the glorification of Dear Leader's ego and bank account.

Ironically, Trump and King Midas of the Greek fable share a love for gold and greed, leading to unintended and fatal consequences. Unfortunately Trump is real and his consequences are real. The end of the story depends how We the People exercise our rights before it's too late.
